Throughout 2013 Isabel and Geoffrey have been working on a new project with a team of composers and dancers at Salamanda Tandem to take audiences into ancient quarries, new buildings, gallery’s and public spaces experimenting with the physical and auditory landscape.

If you are interested, join us in 2014 and Don a pair of radio headsets to experience the transformation of these environments, awakening your perception of what is there; heard, touched and seen in an evocative and sensory art experience. Forming part of a new series of live sound art and dance performances made in 2013 / 2014 we bring audiences together with site specific environments involving; location recording, audio description, acousmatic as well as visual performance, voice, body, inhabitants, dance, geology, live performance, and a process of self reflection through sound.

In 2013 we made works for ‘Astra’ Building in Estonia, a slate quarry in Snowdonia, Corby Cube Council Chamber, The Water Tower in Northamptonshire, Shaw’s Quarry Wirksworth, then culminating in a 6 week exhibition at Rufford Craft centre.

In 2014 look out for a new work made in the walkways and public environs around Corby Cube in March 2014 performed by 4 visually impaired people who use their white canes to pick up texture and sonic vision whilst we transmit to an audience via radio headsets. A new work for Leeds City Centre as part of Ludus Festival in April 2014, a performance at Plymouth University and as discussions grow for another quarry at the Grassington Festival in June 2014!
